Pastor Allan and Jean come from rural backgrounds, having grown up in small-town Minnesota and raised their family through 25 years living in Wisconsin. Allan and Jean’s lives have been spent in small town USA and that’s where they will stay.
Pastor Allan’s background has included working with individual and families providing support and counsel through a variety of settings that have included addiction, family conflict, grieving the loss of loved ones and through the changes brought on through life’s courses and challenges. One of Allan’s greatest strengths is simply listening well-because every person has a deeply felt “need to be heard.”
Pastor Allan now pastors Grace Fellowship, having partnered with other individual to “plant” this church. Allan leads worship with a central focus upon God’s Word.
Pastor Tyler Hendley has a heart for rural Missouri. He grew up in southeast Missouri on his family’s Angus beef farm. A job as a corporate jet mechanic took him to St. Louis, which is also where God called him to seminary, and more specifically, rural church planting.
Tyler attended and graduated from Covenant Seminary in 2017. After seminary Tyler worked for a homeless men’s shelter and as a church planting apprentice at Midtown Church in downtown St. Louis. In preparation for moving to Farmington and joining Grace Fellowship, Tyler and his wife Ashley attended the PCA’s Church Planting Assessment in Atlanta, Georgia. The Lord confirmed their call to full-time church planting ministry, and they began the process of support-raising and preparing to move from St. Louis to Farmington.
The Hendley family moved to Farmington in early 2021. Tyler became the Assistant Pastor at Grace Fellowship. Using his outgoing personality and an ability to turn every stranger into a friend, his focus is on pastoral care and community outreach.
Tyler and Ashley have two daughters and 2 sons. They share their backyard with a German Shepherd and eight chickens. Tyler enjoys grilling meat of any kind, reading C.S. Lewis to his daughters, listening to Wendell Berry audio books, and quoting Jesus and John Wayne.
