Whether you are worshiping with us for the first time or the thousandth time, you should be
able to follow along.
Printed orders of worship, Bibles, and hymnals are available as you enter. The printed liturgy
shows you what comes next and helps the whole congregation participate together. You will not
be expected to know when to stand, sit, sing, speak, or pray without guidance.
Our elders lead the congregation through a biblical order of worship. We gather at God’s
invitation, hear His Word, confess our sins, receive the assurance of His grace, sing His praises,
offer our prayers and gifts, listen to the preaching of Scripture, and receive the sacraments
Christ gave to His church.
Sometimes Christians use the word “worship” to mean the music alone. When we speak of
worship at Grace Presbyterian Fellowship, we mean everything the congregation does together
before God.
The call to worship is worship. Prayer is worship. Singing is worship. Confession is worship.
Hearing God’s Word is worship. Giving is worship. The children’s instruction is worship.
Receiving the Lord’s Supper is worship.
All of it belongs to the worship of the one true God.
We are different sorts of people. Some worship in overalls, while others wear a coat and tie.
Some know the hymns by heart, while others are opening a hymnal for the first time. Yet we
gather as one body to hear the same Word, sing the same truth, and worship the same Lord.
You do not need to understand everything before you come.
Pick up a bulletin, sit near someone who can help, and join us as we worship God according to His Word.
